The Lanes Group is a wastewater solutions provider, who stand proudly at the heart of the UK drainage industry and firmly on a commitment to excellence in everything they do. In recent years they have also moved into specialist market sectors. Lanes Utilities manages wastewater network framework contracts for some of the UK’s largest water and sewerage companies. In 2012 Lanes Group won a major contract for the Wastewater Network Service (WNS) for Thames Water.

Our Services

OMS were commissioned as part of Lanes’ contract mobilisation to put in place the necessary management systems to support the complexity of the Thames Water WNS project. This included a fast-tracked implementation and certification of multiple systems through BSI (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 22301) within a 6 month time period. OMS consultants worked closely with the Lanes Group and their client Thames Water, to develop, embed, audit and certify all 4 systems within the challenging timescales.

As part of this process, Lanes became one of the first organisations in the UK to achieve ISO 22301 – the International Standard for Business Continuity Management – a highly regarded certification which attracted vast media coverage and credibility for them. OMS then handed over the ongoing management of their bespoke systems to Lanes’ team, providing ongoing audit services, to this date. Lanes have since gone on to achieve various client awards for their innovative, customer-focussed, integrated solutions.
