Consultancy and Training Services organisation OMS has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Operations Director Nick Morton.
Nick, from Market Bosworth, brings extensive experience of implementing and managing health and safety from his previous roles at Balfour Betty, Clegg Group and Babcock.
In his new role, he will work on driving the operations side of the business, covering the consultancy work, which includes Human Resources, Health and Safety, Environment, Quality and Business Continuity.
Nick, who is a seasoned manager and a Chartered Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Practitioner, said: “I see OMS developing into an even better recognised brand, not just in health and safety but also in other areas of staff and management training where we are developing new work streams. OMS has ambitions to develop with a good team of people and a strong portfolio of training courses. It is compact enough to provide personal service but is still more than capable of looking after large clients as can be seen from its customer base.”
His appointment is part of growth plans at the company, which was established in 1998 by current managing director Clive Ormerod.
Based in Coalville, Leicestershire, OMS specialises in training and consultancy in industries including building and construction. Clients include Balfour Beatty, Caterpillar, BT, Molson Coors and Morgan Sindall. As well as providing tailored training packages and consultancy for large organisations, it runs nationally recognised courses for small businesses and individuals on subjects including construction site safety, first aid, fire safety and leadership and management.
