By taking the first steps of your engineering career along a structured pathway of development, you possess all the fundamental skills and essential certifications required for the sector. Your expertise is internationally recognised. You will be fully familiar with IOSH, NEBOSH and other relevant standards. And, because you manage a team, liaise with other professionals and deal with clients, suppliers and the public, the skills you learn in influencing and persuasion will prove to be invaluable.

Tier 1
Work safely on site

A selection of training courses that will equip your technical engineering staff to work safely.
This suite of courses will ensure that your employees can work safely, particularly in confined spaces, and that they understand the implications of ensuring that their actions they take help your organisation to remain compliant with health and safety regulations and to maintain a safe working environment.
Delegates on these training courses will be practically equipped to carry out their duties safely, including being able to conduct a risk assessment, and understanding the basics of electrical awareness and PAT testing. They will become a certified emergency first aider. Able to deal with workplace emergencies.

Tier 2
Safe operation on site

Train your engineering staff in specialist areas to help them maintain high safety standards on site.
We offer training for engineering technicians to enable them supervise or manage the use of powered access such as scissor lifts, booms and platforms will lead to the IPAF Powered Access License. Further UPAF training teaches them how to use safety harnesses and restraint lanyards safely.
This package of training courses includes training that will ensure your employees are able to apply the requirements of legislation concerning the use of machinery and equipment, to understand the risks and implications of noise on site, and to work safely at heights and in areas where pipes or cables are hidden underground.

Advanced site safety

Practical training for your engineering staff to equip them to contribute effectively to safety on site.
This package of training courses will give your engineers a thorough overview of health and safety and its impact on the workplace. They will become aware of their individual responsibilities and able to recognise workplace hazards.
Further courses give delegates practical skills in the selection and use of ladders as well as understanding of related legal requirements. They will achieve a high level of competence in assembling, dismantling, moving and inspecting mobile access towers safely, and understand the importance of the save use and mounting of abrasive wheels to comply with the Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.

Managing sites safely

Managers have an essential role to play in ensuring site safety.
