OMS adds to its course portfolio

We’re delighted to have added the following courses to our training portfolio:

  • IOSH SHE for Construction Site Managers
  • Construction NVQs
  • NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health & Safety Management Professionals

For the second half of 2023, OMS are delighted to add a series of health and safety training courses to our training portfolio. And we’re sure they’ll be rated 4.9 on Trustpilot, just like our other courses already are!

IOSH SHE for Construction Site Managers

OMS have been offering IOSH training courses for nearly 20 years, with the newest addition being the IOSH SHE for Construction Site Managers. The construction and building products sector is one we’ve worked closely with, including many of the brilliant businesses located in the East Midlands.

The first IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers course starts on the 31st July and we’re looking forward to seeing our training centre busy with those who occupy a managerial or supervisory role, wanting to gain this respected qualification.

Construction NVQs

OMS have added a popular range of NVQs designed to help those within the construction industry to develop their talents and abilities, and to support their career progression. Demonstrate your skills, knowledge and experience laying modular paving with our Level 2 NVQ in Construction and Civil Engineering Operations – Modular Pavement Construction.

Or, if you are a Construction Work Supervisor or Assistant Construction Supervisor looking to flexibly complete an NVQ that highlights your organisational, supervisory and technical abilities, then our competence-based Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupation Work Supervision could be your next step.

OMS do also offer both the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision (Construction) (Building and Civil Engineering) and the Level 6 Diploma in Construction Site Management (Construction) – (Building and Civil Engineering) – both highly flexible NVQs, designed to develop skills and provide evidence of competency.

On completion of the NVQ Level 6, you’ll also gain the sought after CSCS Black Managers card.

NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health & Safety Management Professionals

When it comes to the globally-recognised NEBOSH qualifications, OMS are proud to be a NEBOSH Gold Standard learning provider. With over 600 delegates trained on our NEBOSH courses since 2020, and many more over the years.

“Having trusted partners to deliver the NEBOSH training courses is paramount. OMS have long been one such partner. The team at OMS have always focused on putting the customer first and this is proven with 25 successful years in business.” Ian Cooke Head of Corporate & Consumer Services at NEBOSH.

The NEBOSH Diploma is the most highly respected health and safety qualification in the country. It’s the perfect choice for anyone in any sector to progress with a H&S career.

Thanks very much for the Health and Safety seminar last week, I have had some very good reactions to the 2 days from all the participants.

Glenn Edwards

I think it is the first time I have seen auditors still smiling after a two day course and a number of auditors have said to me that it is the best course they have ever been on. From a personal point of view I thoroughly enjoyed the course and, being a course presenter/trainer myself, I know how difficult it can be keeping an “audience” engaged on what can be a very dry subject - but you did it. These courses are the first time we have used OMS as a training provider but they will be our provider of choice in the future.

John Davidson

Head of Field Operations (Systems), NSI

Inchcape Shipping Services have been working with OMS for some time on a number of high profile projects. They have successful delivered a range of safety training courses for our employees, as well as carrying Health and Safety and Quality Consultancy services, both in the UK and internationally. I have found that OMS have always provided us with services of a very high standard, their consultants are always attentive and proactive and they provided creative, on-time solutions that have added tremendous value to our business.

Simon Peters

Senior Vice President – Liner Operations, Inchcape Shipping Services

In my dealings with OMS I have found the consultants to be knowledgeable and capable trainers for Health and Safety training courses, and their Office Support for administration of courses to be both efficient and effective. I would not hesitate to recommend OMS as a provider of Health and Safety training.

Dr Iain Anderson

The OMS team are always helpful and friendly and they don’t hard-sell their product, a refreshing change when it comes to training providers! Instead, they partner with us and understand our business. We are very happy to have OMS as our preferred training partner.
